The park was built in the commemoration of the 2500th Anniversary of the Lord Gautam Buddha;s attainment of nirvana. The picturesque garden has several paved pathways along with lush landscaped lawns and blossoming of flowers with streams sloping through terrain and hige trees all around adding to the beauty of the garden. There is also a sapling of Bodhi tree which is bought from Sri Lanka and planted at this place and also the saplings holds great significance for Buddhist followers and it has been also taken from Bodh Gaya.

The garden is very popular among the couples who could be seen roaming around and sometimes in a public display affection mode which may create some unease atmosphere, so if you are carrying your family of young and elders alike it is just to keep in mind.
