Buddha Garden (Buddha Jayanti Park)

The Buddha Jayanti Smarak Park or Buddha Garden is situated just near of the Dhaula Kuan in south-west Delhi. It was established on 2500th birthday anniversary of the Lord Buddha. A tree planted by Prime minister of the India Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1964 which special tree was come from Sri Lanka. Every year on May month of the full moon day people celebrate Lord Buddha birthday festival. This park has Lord Buddha statues and an artificial island.
