India’s second Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri who was although a very timid person by the looks but was very much into the strong and stout person through his words and deeds. It is known to be through some of his great slogans such as Jai Jawan, Jai Kishan and he also took India to a well guided victory in the 1965 War against Pakistan. The Vijay Ghat is the memorial which is located at Mahatma Gandhi Road and it is the spot where the Shastri ji was cremated after he lost his lives at Tashkent while he went to sign a peace treaty with Pakistan.

The opening and closing time is 5:30 A.m. to 7 P.m. and the name means Victory bank which is the memorial grounds and is located next to an artificial lake which adds to the charming ambience with the site coupled with well trimmed landscaped gardens and the lawns which has trees and helps in giving the land a serene look. The Lal Bahadur Shastri was the first Prime Minister to be honour with “Bharat Ratna” and his birth coincides with the same as Bapu or Mahatma Gandhi and the prayer session is organized on 2nd October and 11th of January which is the death anniversary.

Vijay Ghat is memorial (Samadhi) place is dedicated to Lal Bahadur Shastri second Prime Minister of India. It spread in 40 acres area land. It was constructed in 1966.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was second prime minister of the India. During his period Pakistan attacked on India but India won on Pakistan then Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri became as national hero. He went to Tashkent (When it was part of the Soviet Union but now part of the Uzbekistan) to "Tashkent Declaration" but died after some hours on sign on declaration between Indian and Pakistan.
