Tomb of Akbar a great leader and a King who ruled India, with his socially accepted lifestyle as he was equally benevolent to Hindu as well as Muslims who were predominant during his reign. The King has got many social titles in his respect and after he died he left a legacy to continue as people still give him love and abide by his name. The Tomb of Akbar is an architectural masterpiece built in 1604-1613 and it is situated at Sikandra which is a tehsil at Agra. The 119 acres of ground which is dedicated in his name was made after his death by the Akbar’s son “Jahangir” who completed the construction in 1605-1613.

The architecture of the Tomb which is with four white marble chattri-topped minarets is similar to that of the Taj Mahal. The tomb is surrounded by the walled enclosure of 105 metre square. The building is constructed from a deep red sandstone and is enriched with features in white marble. The pane designs are geometric along with floral and calligraphic motifs are found on the pillars engraved bringing out the more complex and subtle design which was also seen to be a part of Itmad-Ud-daulah’s tomb.

The Tomb of Akbar the Great is constructed by himself Akbar in 1600. After Akbar death his son Jahangir was completed it in the period from 1605 to 1613. It is located at Sikandra town just 10 kilometres distance from Agra city. This complex is spread in 119 acres area land. It situated on Mathura road (national highway-2).

Raja Ram Jat was the leader of the rebellious who looted Akbar tomb's precious gold, silver and other jewelleries. They also oppend Akbar's grave and burned his bones. After that, Aurangzeb ordered to captured Raja Ram Jat. on July 1688 killed him by Mohammad Bidar Bakht.
