Indian National Police Memorial & Museum, New Delhi

Indian National Police Memorial is dedicated to 34,844 police personnel who died during their duty from 1947 till 2018. This Memorial and Museum inaugurated by the prime minister, Narendra Modi on October 2018. This memorial also has 'Wall of Valour' which has named of the 34,844 police personnel who died on duty which includes Central Industrial Security Force, Special Protection Group, National Security Guard, Rapid Protection Force, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Central Reserve Police Force and Intelligence Bureau and all states and Union territories polices personnel. The Police Force of any country does its best for the country but unfortunately neither it gets love and respect from their family members, public and not also from the rulers who rule the country. They are always the one who carry the worst image and after much hue and cry the national police museum was dedicated to the nation. The Central Government has decided to establish the unique facility at Lutyen’s Delhi with dedication to Police Officers and as soon as one enters the corridors with five galleries along with focusing on different segments with 2000 years of policing is the same since ancient times of giving time to culprit and see whether it is killing it or utilizing it.

The 1600 sq m museums takes the visitors on a walk through describing police force and with the displays of weapons like 5.56m and 7.62mm rifles and .455 bore revolver and 9mm carbine are expected which are huge hit among youngsters. The 1,600 sq museum takes the visitors which is a walk through and it describes the Police forces in each of the 30 states and the six union territories. The special section is dedicated to the role of women in Police and also the animal squads-dog squad, camel squad and the mounted police (horses) along with pigeon post making it one of the best place to visit.
