National Rail Museum, New Delhi

The National Rail Museum at Delhi is located at Chanakyapuri and it is a place which has given rest to many beautiful locomotives and Salon of Indian Railways which either would have become a part of junkyard or could have grounded to dirt. In this way, the glorious history of Indian Railways has been preserved and the thought of train chugging through the track to the designated path through the rails help the person to enjoy a kids train which also has to be boarded by taking a small ticket. The engines which are of the big size steam and diesel engines are resting here and the various pictures of inauguration by the national leaders has made it a point that the Indian railways has been given much importance by the national leaders.

The trains which are on main exhibits are Patiala State Monorail trainways with Fairy Queen along with Morris Fire Engine and also saloon of the Prince of Wales is found here. The Matheran Rail Car No. 8899 which was once the very much into the main stream of train could be seen kept with pride. In this way, the National Rail Museum, Delhi has become one of the well known place to get attended by various people from all walks of life and including students which got its name in 1995.

India's biggest rail museum is located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It is spread in 10 acres area land. It was opened on 1 February 1977. Museum has Patiala State Monorail Trainways, Fairy Queen, Fire Engine, Electric Locomotive Sir Leslie Wilson, Kalka Shimla Rail Bus and Betty Tramways etc.
