ISKCON Temple, Delhi

ISKCON Temple is a Krishna consciousness which has spread Krishna movement all over the world and compared with some of the great temple like Vrindavan and Mathura based temples. The ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York city and is known to be an anti-cult organization.The supreme deity is Shri Krishna and he is described as the source of all the avatars of God. The ISKCON Devotees worship Krishna as highest form of God and referred as Highest form of God. Also, the preaching are done with the founder person being Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and is also known to spread the practice of Bhakti yoga.

The ISKCON Devotees follow a disciple line of Gaudiya Bhagvata Vaishnavas and also call the Shri Krishna as supreme lord of Gaudiya Bhagvata Vaishnavas which is a popular way of loving Shri Krishna and is known as the particular branch which practices the monistic Advaita schools of Hinduism. The monotheistic tradition has a root in various other sects and was a prominent practice in the Bengal region of India. The temple houses various ways of worshiping and has many statues and religious symbol practices helping the people to unite from all over the world with also the “Hare Krishna” mantra appearing in various Beatle songs along with their albums.

Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir (ISKCON Temple) is dedicated to Radharani and Lord Krishna. ISKCON meaning is International Society for Krishna Consciousness. This temple was architect and built by Achyut Kanvinde. It is opened to public in 1998 and located in East of Kailash. Priest offered six aratis each day. which are the following.

  • 8:00 am : Srimad Bhagavatam Discourse

  • 8:30 pm: Sayana Arati
