Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

Hawa Mahal is one of the name given to the most famous tourist attractions in Jaipur. The “Hawa Mahal” or the “Palace of the winds” is a known for its rich cultural and architectural history. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of the Kachhwaha Rajput Dynasty. It is one of the five-storey buildings which has a decorated facade and it resembles a predominantly high screen wall made of pink and red sandstone. The five-storey building resembles a honeycomb beehive which gives a rich heritage of Rajputs. The architecture or the design of this unique five storied pyramidal palace has a height of 15m from its elevated base and was conceptualized and made by Lal Chand Ustad who is the architecture of Islamic Mughal Architecture.

The Hawa Mahal is also a brilliantly conceived design along with style and construction of Mahal which is the style and construction of the mahal and it was the favorite resort of Maharaja Jai Singh and the interior of the mahal consists of chambers with passages along with the pillars leading to the top storey and there are no stairs in the building which can be reached by ramps and it was for the royal women to enjoy the events and festivals in the street.

Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Breeze or Palace of Winds is located in Jaipur city. It is a famous tourist destination in Rajasthan which was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It was architect by Lal Chand Ustad in form of the Lord Krishna crown. It has 953 small windows which also called jharokhas in Hindi. This monument was restoration by Government of Rajasthan which completed in Rs 4568 million. It is a five storey building which total height is just 50 feet. It is a good example of the Hindu Rajput architecture style. This palace also has a small museum which has Jaipur ruler related old things.
