Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is a tourist place; it is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was founded by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1569. It was Mughal empire capital from 1571 to 1585. Famous tourist places are the following.
Sikri Palace: This was constructed by Akbar in 1969. Palace is covered in 6 kilo meters area.
Buland Darwaza: This was constructed by Akbar in 1601 on memory of the victory of Gujarat. Gate height is 40 meters.
