Shankar's International Dolls Museum

Dolls Museum Delhi which is exactly at ITO and has been renamed as Shankar;s International Dolls Museum with various kinds of dolls over whom the girls use to drool at times. It is one of the innate quality of the woman to behave like a doll and thus the real version of their inner self remains in the form of dolls. It has got established in the year 1965 with the largest dolls museum tag by the name of Shankar’s International Dolls Museum by the name of K. Shankar Pillai which houses almost 6500 exhibits from 85 nations thus making the concept international.

Museum is divided into two halves where one of the collection is from the Europe, the U.S. along with Australia, New Zealand and other Asian countries which includes India. The Indian contribution sums up with 500 unique dolls and those dolls which needs restoration can be found at a clinic along which is housed here. The people could go easily as the nearest Metro is ITO and it is also one of the most visited place making it ideal for children’s day out and also it brings joy to the faces of parents and children alike with watching of such a huge collection to be seen from every part of the world.

The International Dolls Delhi Museum is established in 1965 by by K. Shankar Pillai. This museum is located in Children's Book Trust building at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near ITO. Museum has largest collections of the dolls in India which are approx 6500 from different countries. The museum has several countries doll collections which includes UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Asian countries, Middle East, Africa countries along with Indian style dolls.
