Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, New Delhi

Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is one of the prominent Sikh Gurdwara and is one of the Sikh Worship house of Delhi and is located on the Eastern side of intersection near the confluence of GDO, New Delhi and the Sacred Cathedral. The Gurdwara has a Sarovar located in the heart of the Gurdwara Sahib and is considered as Holy as the water is considered Amrit. The originally place was also the Bungalow of Mirza Sahib or Raja Jai Singh and the original name was Jaisinghpura Palace. The originally built magnificent structure is now a Gurdwara and is considered one of the holiest shrine and now commands great respect with the honour in the court of Mughal Emperor.

There was the Guru Harkrishan’s stay in Delhi and it is said that there was terrible epidemic of Cholera and smallpox but it is said that the Guru served the people and soon the Guru won more admirers. The Guru Granth Sahib rests at a place which is considered the most sacred place and it rests on a Golden Palki along with soaking in the lilting sounds of Shabad Gurbani. It is good to wrap up the beautiful experience of Ardas and ibadat to the supreme power and with that he will bestow all happiness.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the most famous worship place of the Sikh community in Delhi NCR. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is dedicated to the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. The Gurudwara is constructed by Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783. Holy site has a sacred water pond which called "Sarovar". It water know as "Amrit". Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is the most famous place in Delhi city of the Sikh religious people.
