Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Delhi

Asola Bhatt Wildlife Sanctuary which covers “The Southern Delhi Ridge of Aravali Hill Range” at the Delhi-Haryana Border and also spreading the Northern parts of Faridabad and Gurugram districts of Haryana state. It is a protected area and contains the last surviving remains of the biodiversity significance of Ridge lines. The historical place is surrounded by Surajkund and Anangpur dam with Tughlaqabad fort along with Adilabad ruins and Chatarpur Temple in Delhi. The area is known for bird watching and there is always a chance of Leopard which are in abundance and they may charge on you so always try to be in a protective gear with better dressing style so that it may help in running away in case of any problem and a person preferably girls should not keep their hair loose along with should not wear too loose or too tight clothes.

Also, wide range of snakes and reptiles are to be found due to which the area should be avoided during rainy season.

The plant species include butea monosperma ( Dhak or Flame of forest) with Indian Elm along with Neolamarckia Cadamba ( Kadamba) with a conservation education centre and the office hours are 9:30 to 5:30 p.m where a range of activities for every age group.

Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary situated at Asola village around in south Delhi city near of the Tughlaqabad. It was established in 1986 which spread in 6,874 acres area land. The sanctuary has Aravalli mountain Range which begins from Rajasthan state. The sanctuary has Maidangari, Asola and Shapur local villages. The sanctuary also has a educational centre which about forest related. It is a protected area but forest department open it to visit children in summer and winter seasons.
