Amber Fort is a fort located in Amer, Rajasthan, India. The fort is also popularly known as The Amer Palace. It is the residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families. At the entrance to palace near the Fort known for artistic style statements. The large ramparts and series of gates along with cobbled paths and the main source of water is Maota lake for Amer Palace. The Red Sandstone and Marble which looks attractive along with opulent palace is laid out on the four levels and it consists of the Diwan-I-Aam which is called the Hall of Public audience. The hall of private audience or the sheesh mahal which is also called Jai Mandir or the Sukh Niwas where one can enjoy a cool climate.

The palace along with Jaigarh Fort is located which is immediately above the Cheel Ka tilla and one could wonder how such big marble and sandstone slabs could have reached so it was with the help of Elephants which is understood as till date the Elephants carry the enthusiasts to the top and then back to the city. The Amer Fort has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and is a part of the group hill forts of Rajasthan.

Amer Fort or Amber Fort is situated in Amer town which is exact 11 kilometers distance from Jaipur city. This fort was built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592. This is open to visit general public and its condition is very good. This fort built by Marble and red stone. Now, this fort is listed at UNESCO world heritage site from 2013. Around this fort has Aravalli hills range which extended up to Delhi city. It is a highly visited fort of the Jaipur area.
